The Construction of Data Resource Market Empowers the Development of New Quality Productivity: A Quasi-Natural Experiment Based on the Establishment of Data Trading Platforms
Abstract
new-quality productive forces. Based on the panel data of 275 Chinese cities from 2011 to 2021, this article constructs a quasi-natural experiment by using the establishment of data trading platforms and employs a progressive difference-in-differences model to examine the impact of
the construction of data resource markets on new-quality productive forces, as well as conduct empirical tests on its transmission mechanism.
The research finds that the construction of data resource markets can significantly promote the development of new-quality productive forces.
The mechanism test shows that the construction of data resource markets can promote the development of new-quality productive forces by
advancing digital technology innovation.
