Adaptive Strategies for Cultural and Ecological Space of Rural Tourism in Haikou Economic Circle

Yiru Wang

Abstract

Against the backdrop of the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the development of "International Tourism and Consumption Destination", rural tourism in the Haikou Economic Circle (including Haikou, Wenchang, Chengmai, Ding' an, and Lingao) has
become an important starting point to promote urban-rural integration and rural revitalization by virtue of its unique tropical coastal resources
and folk cultural advantages. However, at present, rural tourism in this area generally suffers from spatial fragmentation of ecological spaces,
homogenization of resource development, imbalance between ecological protection and tourism development and other problems, which leads
to inadequate spatial adaptability and makes it difficult to meet the diverse needs of tourists and the sustainable development goals of rural
areas. This paper combines the idea of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" with the requirements of the integrated development of culture and tourism, starts from the current situation of the cultural and ecological space of rural tourism in the Haikou Economic
Circle, analyzes the core causes of inadequate spatial adaptability, explores adaptive strategies covering cultural inheritance and spatial integration, ecological protection and tourism development, functional optimization and scenario innovation, proposes policy support, financial
guarantee and talent cultivation, and other implementation pathways at the same time, and aims to provide theoretical reference and practical
guidance for the high-quality development of rural tourism in the Haikou Economic Circle.
