Analysis on the Current Situation and Countermeasures of Rural Development in China

Abstract

With the in-depth advancement of the rural revitalization strategy, rural development has become a key link in China's comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country. This paper adopts the literature research method and case analysis method to focus on the
current situation, problems, causes and countermeasures of rural development in China. The study finds that at present, China's rural areas
have achieved remarkable achievements in agricultural production capacity, infrastructure construction and farmers' living standards, but still
face prominent problems such as a large gap between urban and rural development, low level of agricultural industrialization, loss of rural
talents and shortcomings in rural social governance. From the perspective of causes, the urban-rural dual structure at the historical level, the
low comparative benefit of agriculture at the economic level, the inadequate implementation of policies and the unbalanced talent flow at the
social level have jointly restricted rural development. Based on this, this paper puts forward approaches such as breaking the urban-rural dual
structure to promote integrated development, accelerating the process of agricultural modernization, strengthening the construction of rural
talent teams, innovating social governance models and improving the rural policy system, aiming to provide practical references for promoting the sustainable development of China's rural areas and narrowing the urban-rural gap.
