Common Problems and Countermeasures in Geotechnical and Underground Engineering Construction

Zhangyu Wen

Abstract

In the field of geotechnical and underground engineering, numerous technical challenges are encountered, including over-excavation, under-excavation, collapse, seepage, water leakage, settlement, and deformation. To address these construction issues, this paper proposes a series of effective solutions, focusing on enhancing survey and design, optimizing support schemes, improving drilling quality, preventing
collapse, strengthening water control and seepage prevention, effectively managing drainage, controlling deformation and settlement, and enhancing process monitoring. By implementing comprehensive management measures and reinforcing dynamic design and information-based
construction, the aim is to fundamentally improve the construction quality and safety of geotechnical projects, thereby promoting the efficient
development and utilization of underground space resources.
