Yanbo Zhu, Shasha Peng, Yayue Fu, Haixiong Liu

Abstract

Against the dual backdrop of China's "dual carbon" goals and the development of Hainan Free Trade Port, high-standard green
buildings have become a crucial pathway for Hainan to advance ecological civilization and transform its construction industry. This paper
analyzes the suitability of constructing high-standard green buildings from three perspectives: policy support, climate adaptation, and new
energy application. It also explores their economic characteristics through dimensions of economic value, cost-effectiveness, and financial investment. The study reveals that Hainan possesses unique advantages in policy guidance and natural resource utilization. Although the initial
construction costs are relatively high, the long-term operational benefits and social value demonstrate significant advantages, providing robust
support for the green and low-carbon development of the Free Trade Port.
