Analysis and Optimization Strategy of Reading Promotion in University Libraries

Yi Dai

Abstract

Currently, university libraries 'reading promotion initiatives exhibit a pattern of expanding formats while lacking depth in substance.
Although activities have grown in scope, their lack of depth fails to precisely address readers' diverse and specialized needs. The operational
mechanisms predominantly rely on one-way supply models, resulting in limited reader engagement and interactivity. To tackle these chal
lenges, optimization strategies should focus on implementing stratified and categorized precision promotion, building a content ecosystem
oriented toward deep participation, and establishing a multidimensional dynamic evaluation system. Through coordinated efforts in three key
areas, reading promotion can transition from scale expansion and activity-driven approaches to quality enhancement and value-driven models,
thereby more effectively serving the core mission of talent cultivation and cultural heritage preservation in higher education institutions.
