XuetingYu , Xinxin Mao, Yumeng Zhang

Abstract

Sleep is an essential component of human life activities. For college students who are in a critical period of physical and mental
development, good sleep quality serves as the foundation for ensuring learning efficiency, maintaining physical and mental health, and pro
moting social adaptation. In recent years, sleep issues among college students have garnered increasing attention, especially among first-year
freshmen who have just entered university. Faced with multiple challenges such as environmental adaptation, academic pressure, and inter
personal communication, their sleep status deserves further exploration. Based on questionnaire survey data from 410 first-year freshmen in a
certain university, this paper systematically analyzes the current status and characteristics of their sleep quality by combining assessment tools
such as the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index.
