Research on Renewal Strategies of Historical Blocks Based on Spatial Narrative Theory A Case Study of Gushi Old Street
Abstract
In the renewal process of historical blocks, problems such as cultural rupture, spatial homogenization, and insufficient participation of local residents are widespread. Guided by spatial narrative theory, this paper explores its application potential and methodological
approaches in the renewal of historical blocks. Taking Gushi Old Street in Gushi Town, Songyang County, Zhejiang Province as an example,
through field investigation, case analysis and narrative clue extraction, this paper proposes a four-in-one spatial narrative design strategy of
"Theme-Framework-Translation-Participation", aiming to build a block space with both historical authenticity and contemporary vitality, and
provide a reference for the organic renewal of similar historical blocks.
