Research on Budget Management and Cost Management Practices under Management Accounting Application Guidelines -- A Case Study of Enterprise A and Enterprise B

Xuange Jin

Abstract

With the increasing complexity of market competition and digital transformation, management accounting has become an important tool for supporting internal decision-making. Based on China's Management Accounting Application Guidelines, this paper analyzes the
budget management practice of Haier Smart Home and the cost management practice of Kweichow Moutai. The study finds that Haier Smart
Home improves strategic execution through strategic budgeting, participatory budgeting and rolling budgeting, while Kweichow Moutai maintains product quality and brand value through value-oriented cost management, activity-based costingand life-cycle cost management. The
two cases show that management accounting tools should be selected according to industry characteristics and strategic objectives. However,
enterprises still face problems such as insufficient finance-business integration, weak digital support and incomplete performance evaluation.
Therefore, enterprises should improve their management accounting systems, strengthen data sharing and build strategy-oriented assessment
mechanisms.
