Study on Changes in Forest Ecosystem Carbon Density and Remote Sensing Ecological Index of Jianxi District

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the spatial coupling law between forest carbon density and the Remote Sensing Ecological Index (RSEI)
in Jianxi District, Luoyang City, so as to provide a scientific basis for the ecological sustainable development of the district. The results show
that: the total forest carbon storage in Jianxi District is 34148.67 t, with a carbon density of 37.54 t/hm2
, among which the carbon storage of
broad-leaved forests accounts for 85.08%. The high-value areas of RSEI (＞0.6) are distributed in the mountainous areas in the western part
of Jianxi District. The greenness index and wetness index have a positive promoting effect on RSEI, while the dryness index and heat index
have a negative inhibitory effect on it. There is a significant positive correlation between forest carbon density and RSEI (r=0.785, P<0.01). In
conclusion, the forest carbon density and RSEI in Jianxi District show significant spatial synergy in their spatial distribution.
