Curriculum-Based Ideological and Political Education in the AIGC Era A Modular Design for Vocational Undergraduate Public Courses with a Case Study of Introduction to AI

Yuxiu Chen, Xiaoran Zhang

Abstract

In the Age of Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC), it is increasingly important to integrate ideological and political education into vocational undergraduate public courses. We propose a modular design and application approach for curriculum-based ideological
and political education. We first analyze current challenges and opportunities in AIGC development, then review theoretical foundations and
establish an integration framework. We propose a modular design approach that breaks course content into units containing a natural ideological and political element. We emphasize practical applications, which makes modules accessible and engaging for students at the vocational
undergraduate level. We conclude that this modular approach enhances students' understanding of AI concepts as well as their social and ethical responsibilities. Furthermore, thoughtfully designed modules can embed ideological and political education into technical courses and help
develop well-rounded, responsible graduates. Future plans include refining modules with feedback and applying this approach to other public
courses in vocational education.
