A Study on Ecological Improvement in Desertified Areas of Dunhuang City in China
Abstract
of intensifying desertification and water scarcity. Under the combined influence of climate change and human activities, desertification has become a core ecological issue constraining the sustainable development of the Dunhuang region. This paper systematically analyzes the causes
of desertification in Dunhuang, its natural and atmospheric conditions, geological structural characteristics, and the current status of water
resource utilization. It proposes improvement strategies, including strengthening integrated water resource management, advancing desertification control and ecological restoration projects, and enhancing relevant regulations, regulatory, and scientific and technological support.
