A Study on the Current Status and Future Trends of China's Pet Economy Ecosystem
Abstract
becoming a key driver of domestic demand growth and a promoter of social harmony. As pets shift from "functional companions" to "family members", the pet industry chain keeps expanding and diversifying, with obvious features of regional clustering and increasingly young
consumers. However, China's pet industry still faces multiple challenges, including imperfect regulatory frameworks, incomplete standard
systems, insufficient high-end development momentum and inadequate international development capacity. To advance the high-quality development of the pet economy, authorities need to strengthen cross-departmental coordination and policy support, accelerate the formulation
of relevant standards and refined regulations, boost collaborative innovation throughout the industrial chain, improve social governance and
speed up alignment with international norms. These measures can comprehensively strengthen the global competitiveness and sustainable development capacity of China's pet industry.
