Investigating the Impact Mechanism of Digital Transformation on Innovation Output in Chinese Listed Firms

Abstract


In the context of the fast-growing global digital economy, digital transformation is key for firms to enhance competitiveness, optimize resources, and achieve sustainability. Using data from Chinese A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2023, this study examines how
digital transformation affects innovation output. Results show that digital transformation significantly boosts innovation by reducing supply
chain concentration and empowering executives with digital and academic backgrounds. This study enriches the literature and provides practical insights for digital-era innovation strategies.
