What Drives the Effects of COVID-19 on the Valuation of Financial Investments?

Abstract

This essay examines the impacts of COVID-19 on financial investment markets and industries from macro and micro perspectives.
It highlights the role of government policies in shaping investment valuations. The aviation industry suffered a sharp downturn due to travel
restrictions, while the healthcare sector found new opportunities despite financial burdens. Government policies are crucial in influencing investment valuations across different industries.
