Competitiveness of China's Digital Service Trade and Its Influencing Factors
Abstract
paper employs the entropy method and four indicators (TC, MS, RCA, MI) to construct a comprehensive competitiveness index, measuring
and comparing China's digital service trade competitiveness with the US, UK, Russia and Brazil from 2005 to 2023. Based on Porter's Diamond Model, panel data of 31 provinces are used to test influencing factors via fixed?effects models. Results show China's scale, structure and
competitiveness improve steadily but lag behind developed economies. Provincial heterogeneity dominates; capital, knowledge, industrial
structure and technology exert significant positive effects, while foreign investment has a negative temporal impact, and human resources and
consumption are constrained by time and individual factors. Policy recommendations are offered across infrastructure, innovation, market
structure, talent and international cooperation.
