Abstract

Objective: This meta-analysis systematically synthesizes existing clinical research to quantify how work stress shapes nurses' departure risks and associated staffing losses. Methods: Digital literature retrieval was performed across major Chinese academic repositories
including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP and Docer to collect all empirical studies exploring correlations between nursing occupational strain and staff
turnover behaviors. Results: According to the data analysis, a total of 20 articles on the turnover rate of nurses under occupational stress were
retrieved. After carefully reading the content of the literature, those that did not meet the inclusion criteria and duplicate articles were excluded. After multiple rounds of screening, 8 articles were included in the study, all of which were related to the impact of occupational stress on
the turnover rate of nurses. Conclusion: The occurrence of occupational stress increases the turnover rate of nursing staff. It is suggested that
hospitals should pay attention to alleviating the occupational stress of nurses, reducing their work pressure, and lowering the turnover rate of
nursing staff.
