Cultivation Pathways of Applied English Talents Based on Language Service Demands in Cross-border E-commerce under Industry-Education Integration

Abstract

In the context of the in-depth development of industry-education integration and the rapid prosperity of cross-border e-commerce,
there is an urgent demand for English application-oriented talents with precise language service skills in the industry. This paper aims to explore innovative pathways for talent cultivation centered on the language service demands of the cross-border e-commerce industry. The study
first examines the policy directions of industry-education integration, changes in industry talent demand, and the significant value of language
services in the entire e- commerce chain. It then comprehensively analyzes the practical requirements for English proficiency at each stage of
operations. The paper proposes specific measures such as developing a modular practical curriculum system and building a school-enterprise
cooperative education platform in response to the current problems in the training process of colleges and universities, including curriculum
decoupling, insufficient practice and shortage of teachers. Finally, it elaborates on the support mechanism of multi-party collaboration and the
expected results for alleviating the contradiction between supply and demand of talents, with the aim of providing theoretical and practical
references for the relevant talent cultivation.
