Embodied Experience of Perfectionist Populations in Primordial Rhythms of Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance

Huan Tian, Qi Jiang

Supported by Maurice Merleau-Ponty's embodied phenomenology, embodied cognition theory and the theory of "cultural genes of
the body" for ethnic folk dance, this study takes ordinary adults with maladaptive perfectionism as research subjects to systematically explore
the internal mechanism through which primordial rhythms of ethnic folk dance reshape individuals' bodily cognition, relieve negative emotions and dispel perfectionist obsessions.
