The Role of News Media in Promoting Sports

Abstract


Sports, as an important component of social culture, cannot be popularized and developed without the promotion and dissemination of news media. News media are not only the disseminators of sports event information, but also the promoters of sports spirit and culture.
With the continuous progress of technology and the rise of new media, the means and forms of news media in promoting sports have become
increasingly diverse. They showcase the charm of sports to the fullest through various means such as news reporting, thematic planning, and
live interaction, inspiring public enthusiasm and participation in sports. Based on this, this article explores the role of news media in promoting sports, for reference by relevant practitioners.
