Abstract

Artistic cultivation has a positive impact on the psychological development of adolescents. Through exposure to and participation in
artistic activities, adolescents can enhance their aesthetic literacy, stimulate creativity, and develop critical thinking. Moreover, artistic expression
provides a platform for adolescents to express emotions and construct self-identity, helping to alleviate psychological stress during their growth,
and enhancing self-confidence and social adaptability. This paper explores the role of contemporary art in the self-identity construction of adolescent girls in Europe and China. It aims to investigate the advantages of contemporary art in fostering self-identity among adolescent girls in Europe and propose strategies to improve contemporary art education in China. By doing so, the study seeks to enhance the value of contemporary
