The Appearance of the Other in the Midst of Gaze And Shame

Abstract

The Other and I are co-existing in the original relationship, and this co-existing Other is the Other as a subject, sharing my own inevitability, and this Other as a subject is unknowable, but it is a prerequisite for our daily life to interact with the concrete other that we regard
as the object in our perception. In Sartre, the essence of the presence of the Other lies in my awareness of the possibility of being objectified,
which is brought about by the Other as a subject. In order to demonstrate the constant coexistence of the subject-Other, Sartre chooses the perspective of gaze, in which Sartre emphasizes the original position of the gazed. Shame, on the other hand, explains the self itself of the other’s
gaze on the terminal, which also embodies the fundamental conflict between the ontological self and the other.
