Abstract
on the Chinese images within the text. Through the analysis of traditional Chinese culture, mystical Eastern imagery, and traditional Chinese
family ethics, it examines the presentation of the other image in the novel and further explores the intentions behind the portrayal of stereotypical Chinese images in the text.
