Research on Music Ethics Thought in Liji YueJi

Abstract

Music ethics is a discipline which takes the moral phenomena in the field of music as the research object and uses the ethical principles to reveal the ethical implications of music. As Chinas first music monograph, YueJi, eleven of which are compiled into LijiYueji, discuss
music ethics from the aspects of the essence of music, the relationship between Yue (music) and Li (ritual), and the philosophical connotation of ritual music, enriching the research literature and theoretical basis of music ethics.
