Cultural Identity and Cross-cultural Communication in Movies

Abstract


Under the background of globalization, the speed and breadth of information dissemination have reached an unprecedented level,
and film, as an influential mass media, carries rich cultural connotations and plays an important role in the field of cultural dissemination.
Movies can cross the boundaries of regions, races and languages, present various cultural elements to global audiences, and then affect
peoples cognition and recognition of different cultures, and at the same time build a bridge for cross-cultural communication. Based on
this, this paper first expounds the construction of cultural identity in film, and secondly analyzes the role of film in cross-cultural communication for reference.
