The Dissemination of Classical Chinese Poetry under the Multi-modal Discourse Analysis -- A case study of the short film Queqiao fairy fiber cloud make clever

Abstract


In recent years, multimedia has brought a new form of cultural communication. Short video of poetry has achieved a good publicity
effect through the coordination and complementarity of different modes. As a series dedicated to the dissemination of classical poetry, China
in Poetry uses Chinese and English speech modes to broaden the dissemination range, careful visual design to enhance the connection with
the audience, and a variety of modes to cooperate to ensure the transmission of meaning, exploring a new path for the dissemination of poetry
in English-speaking countries. Starting from the theory of multimodal discourse analysis, this paper analyzes the application and manifestation
of multimodal discourse in the cross-cultural communication of Chinese ancient poetry by taking the short film Queqiao fairy fiber cloud
make clever, which has the highest number of likes, as an example, aiming to help the overseas communication of Chinese classical poetry.
