Exploring the Motivation for Enterprises to Issue Green Bonds and Their Environmental and Economic Effects

Abstract

With the increasing global concern for environmental protection, green bonds have emerged as an innovative financial instrument in
the field of corporate finance. This paper analyzes the intrinsic motivation of issuing green bonds, including meeting regulatory requirements,
enhancing corporate image, and obtaining low-cost funds. At the same time, it discusses its effects in detail from the environmental and economic dimensions, helping energy conservation and emission reduction and promoting ecological restoration at the environmental level, and
optimizing the capital structure of enterprises and driving the green upgrading of industries at the economic level, so as to provide reference
for a comprehensive understanding of the roles of green bonds in the development of enterprises and the sustainable process of the society.
