An Artistic Analysis of Chinese Works Pink Ink Spring and Autumn Annals
Abstract
Pink Ink Spring and Autumn is a classic work combining the elements of Beijing Opera and modern national vocal music. Its
creation is based on the legendary story of Shanxi Pear Garden troupe. Through the cross-border integration of music and drama, it shows
the artistic philosophy of life is like drama. This paper analyzes the background of creation, the structure of music, the fusion technique of
Peking Opera and the artistic value, and discusses how to realize the innovative expression of national vocal music through the combination
of traditional opera elements and modern music techniques. It is found that Pink Ink Spring and Autumn not only continues the rhythm and
emotional tension of Beijing Opera, but also endows the national vocal music with new vitality through symphonic arrangement and diversified singing skills, becoming a model of the integration of traditional and modern art.
