The Author Implied and the Implied Author: A Debate on the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Film Creation
Abstract
author quietly disintegrates. The pan-visual era ushered in by AI has shifted the proportion of artificial intelligences dual identities from that
of an external artificial other towards that of an internal creative agent, thereby giving birth to a debate about the roles of the author implied
versus the implied author. Only by adopting a rational perspective on respective roles can we truly usher in the Eureka moment of synergistic
advancement between human intelligence and artificial intelligence.
