Abstract

The (Republic of China) Foshan Zhongyi Township Record can be called a key to understanding Foshan, containing rich historical and cultural resources, reflecting the general knowledge of Foshan natives about the land of their hometown more than a hundred years
ago. The Zhi has characteristics and research value, is the product of the fusion of the old and the new, China and the West. The issues with
research value are: the reason and purpose of compilation; the source and value of historical materials; the achievements, ideas, methods and
characteristics of compilation, historical theory and historical evaluation.
