The Construction of Ecological Thoughts Repository in Ancient Chinese Philosophy
Abstract
from tthe idea of a community of life in an attempt to build up a repository of ecological thoughts in ancient Chinese philosophy. From the
pre-Qin, the han dynasty, Suitang, to Songming, the ecological thoughts have gone through the love of all things of Confucius, Mencius
and Xun, the divine law follows nature of Lao Zi, etc., to Heaven and Man Are United as One of Dong Zhongshu in Han dynasty, then to
Natural Law and Perpetual Growth and Change in Song and Ming dynasty. This development vein reflects the ancient peoples reverence
for nature and deep concern for social ecology, and has profound practical significance for todays excavation of the contemporary value of
ancient Chinese philosophy.
