Abstract


The Guangdong region borders the sea, and peoples production and daily lives are closely related to the ocean. Guangdong Xin Yu
written by Qu Dajun in the Qing Dynasty covers aspects related to the ocean. From the perspective of marine civilization, it is possible to analyze the Cantonese peoples perception of the ocean and its characteristics in the Qing Dynasty, so as to better understand the marine history
and culture of Guangdong.
