This thesis takes Jean-Franis Millets The Gleaners as the core. Through a comprehensive analysis of its pictorial language, creative background, and artistic features, it explores its realist expression within the social context of 19th-century France. While maintaining
academic depth, the article incorporates the authors personal reflections on art, labor, and social justice issues, striving to present the artistic
charm and contemporary value of this work. Through a meticulous analysis of the composition, color, and character portrayal, combined with
an interwoven interpretation of Millets life and the social class structure of that time, this paper argues that The Gleaners is not just a painting
with a stable style, but also a visual fable about dignity, silence, and historical memory. The article finally reflects on its significance in contemporary society, pointing out the lasting influence of realist art in humanistic education and social criticism.
