Research on the Interior Environment Design of Urban Elderly Residences in China

Abstract


This paper conducts an in-depth study on the indoor environment design of urban elderly residences in China. By analyzing the
physiological, psychological and living needs characteristics of the elderly in urban areas, and analyzing the existing problems in the current
residential interior environment design, optimization design strategies are proposed from multiple dimensions such as spatial layout, facility
configuration, color lighting and material selection, aiming to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for improving the living environment quality of the elderly in urban areas and meeting their special living needs. Help build comfortable, safe and convenient living Spaces
for the elderly.
