Sensibility and Rationality in Art
Abstract
Art is a contradictory existence, with rationality wrapped in sensibility, and passion coexisting with restraint, much like every vivid
individual. Art is sensible. It is only with the germination of sensibility that rational branches can grow. Sensibility integrates life into objects,
endowing them with warmth; rationality makes artistic creation followable and brings aesthetics close to the harmonious way of nature. Painting needs to be completed by one person alone, at least during the creative process. Artists are the "solo choir" of painting, requiring the creator to cooperate physically and mentally to achieve the best, unify thoughts and actions, combine sensibility and rationality, and constantly
adjust during the development of creation. Sensibility and rationality wander together, with rationality responsible for leading the way and
sensibility for making choices and judgments.
