Research on Aesthetic Presentation and Creative Transformation of Traditional Culture in Chinese Cinema

Yuanyuan Li, Le Zhang, Lianfeng Yu

Abstract

This study explores the path of aesthetic presentation and creative transformation of traditional culture in Chinese films. Through
analysing the case studies of films such as "Shadow" and "The Descent of Nezha", the study reveals the visual and auditory mapping mechanism of traditional aesthetic ideas in films, as well as the creative transformation methods such as new storytelling and technological integration. The study points out that the current transformation is faced with challenges such as cultural understanding bias, imbalance between
business and culture, and obstacles to international dissemination, which need to be resolved by strengthening cultural research, balancing
commercial attributes, and optimising cross-cultural strategies. The study provides theoretical references for the cultural expression of Chinese films, and helps the living transmission and global dissemination of traditional culture in the digital era.
