The Syntactic and Semantic Functions of the Adverb "Guang" from a Corpus Perspective
Abstract
Based on existing research, this article conducts a corpus based examination of the adverb "Guang" from both syntactic and semantic perspectives. At the syntactic level, the main focus is on examining the collocation of the adverb "Guang" with verb components, adjective
components and noun components, proposing questions and hypotheses regarding the views of "Adjectivity and embodiment" in previous
research; On the semantic level, this article mainly examines the semantic changes of the adverb "Guang" and the co-occurrence of negation
words from the perspective of quantitative features, and attempts to supplement the previous research on the special case of "Guang" expression with corpus based questions.
