Abstract
This paper explores the innovative application of immersive digital technologies in Chinese ethnic and folk dance teaching within
higher education institutions. Advancements in immersive technologies have significantly transformed education by enhancing interactivity,
immersion, and intuitive learning, as traditional teaching methods increasingly struggle to inspire students creativity and engagement. This
study introduces VR, AR, and MR technologies to create a novel instructional environment, enabling students to experience dance culture and
movements through simulated real-world scenarios. Research findings indicate that VR-based immersive technologies significantly enhance
learning engagement and efficiency while deepening students understanding of Chinese ethnic and folk dance traditions. Consequently, immersive digital technologies offer groundbreaking approaches for dance education in higher education institutions, demonstrating significant
application value and potential for broader implementation.
