Image Translation and Aesthetic Regeneration: Core Strategies for Narrative Reconstruction of ICH in Chinese Films

Jiayan Rong

Abstract

Under the dual context of intangible heritage protection and local expression of film, Chinese film has become an important medium
for the living inheritance of intangible heritage. Its presentation of intangible heritage has shifted from simple recording to creative narrative,
and intangible heritage has become the "narrative subject". However, challenges persist in narrating ICH techniques. The core strategy involves synchronizing visual translation with aesthetic regeneration, shifting heritage from "background symbols" to "narrative subjects" while
resolving tensions between preservation and dissemination. Moving forward, it is essential to uphold cultural essence while enhancing translation and regeneration capabilities to achieve mutual empowerment.
