A Study on the Translation of Shaanxi Folk Culture for Overseas Promotion from the Perspective of Translation Communication Studies

Fenfen Hui

Abstract

With the introduction of the "Going Global" strategy for culture, the translation of folk culture for international promotion has
garnered significant attention across various sectors. As an integral part of traditional Chinese culture, Shaanxi's folk culture possesses rich
cultural connotations. Deepening the translation of Shaanxi's folk culture for international promotion not only shapes the national image but
also holds important practical significance for enhancing China's cultural soft power and strengthening Shaanxi's international influence. This
study adopts a translation communication perspective, integrating Lasswell's "5W" information dissemination model to explore and analyze
effective strategies for translating Shaanxi's folk culture for international promotion. It aims to provide relevant stakeholders with reference
points, collectively contributing to the high-quality advancement of China's cultural outreach strategy.
