Abstract
Hainan traditional culture is an important branch of China's Lingnan cultural system, integrating maritime culture, ethnic minority cultures of the Li and Miao peoples, demoted official culture, and tropical agricultural culture, forming unique cultural symbols and

paths in modern landscape design, analyzes existing issues such as symbolization and superficiality in current applications, and proposes
innovative strategies from three dimensions: cultural translation, technological integration, and functional adaptation. The aim is to provide
theoretical references and practical directions for constructing modern Hainan landscapes with regional cultural identity and contemporary
characteristics, thereby contributing to the improvement of living environment quality and cultural inheritance under the context of Hainan
Free Trade Port.
