Abstract

With the advent of the digital intelligence era, the visual communication design industry has placed higher demands on the practical abilities and adaptability of talent. If undergraduate practical teaching methods suffer from issues such as rigid curricula and a disconnect
between academia and industry, it will lead to shortcomings in graduates' employability. Practice-oriented teaching reforms aimed at employability can effectively cultivate practical skills, facilitate industry alignment and competency matching, and ensure that students possess both
design capabilities and work competencies. Based on this, this paper explores the reform of undergraduate visual communication design practical teaching with an employability-oriented approach, aiming to provide valuable teaching insights for educators.
