Research on Technical Bottlenecks and Innovative Design Strategies of Eco-Recycled Fabrics in High-End Fashion Applications

Jiayi Zhao

Abstract

In the context of development that supports continued use of resources and changes in how fashion operates, fabrics made from
materials that use resources again have become an important choice for fashion at high levels of production. However, in actual use,
these fabrics face issues including problems with how stable the material properties remain, limited ability to work with advanced methods of production, and insufficient change of value in design and market contexts, which limit how these materials integrate into fashion
at high levels. This study examines the problems in using fabrics that recycle materials in fashion applications at high levels, and it provides analysis of where these materials come from, what physical features they show, and what value they provide for continued resource
use. The analysis identifies main problems that occur at levels of materials, production methods, and design. The study also presents
approaches that address these problems through improving material methods, developing new production approaches and structure in design, and changing how design operates and how brands function in markets. Findings indicate that bringing together innovation at multiple levels allows these recycled fabrics to combine performance in technical features and value in appearance for fashion at high levels.
This provides references in theory and methods in practice for development of fashion that supports continued use of resources at high
levels of production.
