The Application and Development Trend of Digital Technology in Art Exhibitions

Abstract


With the rapid advancement of core digital technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), block chain, and big data, the field of art exhibitions has undergone profound and irreversible transformations. This paper systematically explores the multi-dimensional applications of digital technology in art exhibitions, deeply analyzes the innovative changes it has
brought to exhibition forms, audience experience modes, curatorial logic, and art circulation systems, and focuses on discussing key challenges such as high technical thresholds, difficult copyright protection of digital works, and the imbalance between technology and artistry. Based
on typical industry cases and latest research findings, the paper predicts the future development trends of digital art exhibitions, including the
deep integration of Mixed Reality (MR) and natural interaction technologies, data-driven intelligent curation, the construction of metaversebased exhibition ecosystems, and the popularization of inclusive digital art experiences. The research aims to provide theoretical references
and practical guidance for art institutions, curators, artists, and technical developers, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of
the digital transformation of art exhibitions.
