Exploration of Spatial Design and Sustainable Development Path for Hainan Characteristic Homestays under the Background of Rural Revitalization

Caijun Wang

Abstract

The Rural Revitalization Strategy has injected strong momentum into rural tourism in Hainan. As a key carrier connecting urban
and rural resources, bearing cultural memory, and activating the rural economy, the quality of spatial design and the model of sustainable
development for characteristic homestays are directly related to industrial efficiency, ecological resilience, and cultural inheritance. Based on
field research and literature analysis, this paper points out the prominent problems currently existing in Hainan homestays, such as superficial
cultural symbols, absence of ecological design, and homogenization of operation models. In response to these dilemmas, a trinity sustainable
development path of "Cultural Deep IntegrationEcological EmbeddingCommunity Co-governance" is proposed, aiming to provide a reference scheme with both theoretical depth and practical value for Hainan's construction as an international tourism consumption center.
