Research on the Application of Chongqing Urban Elements in Exhibition Design

Abstract

With its unique attribute of "mountains embracing rivers, antiquity blending with modernity, and three-dimensional diversity",
the main urban area of Chongqing has fostered a wealth of regional cultural symbols and visual elements. Based on the research background of the Chongqing Art Science Project, this paper systematically categorizes the distinctive elements of Chongqing's main urban
area into four types: natural landscapes, architectural forms, cultural folk customs, and modern urban motifs. By analyzing practical cases
including airport terminals, transportation hubs, exhibition booths, and the CCTV Spring Festival Gala branch venue, the study explores
the application pathways of element extraction, translational reconstruction, and technological integration. It further summarizes the design
logic of "cultural decodingaesthetic transformationfunctional adaptation", providing theoretical support and practical references for
the innovative application of regional culture in exhibition design, and facilitating the visual communication and dynamic inheritance of
Chongqing's urban cultural IP.
