Practical Pathways and Value of AI Animation in Empowering Intangible Cultural Heritage Enlightenment for Children

Liying Zhang, Yuhan Yang

Abstract

This study takes the "Bamboo Treasure's Dream Quest" project under the "Folktale Town of Intangible Cultural Heritage" initiative
as a case study, aiming to systematically explore the practical application of AI animation technology in children's enlightenment education
for Jintang bamboo weaving. Based on preliminary fieldwork and educational practice, the research attempts to construct a three-stage framework of "cultural translationmedia translationexperiential translation." Analysis indicates that the core value of AI animation lies in creating
innovative pathways for the modern expression of intangible cultural heritage (ICH). However, its practical effectiveness is closely tied to the
depth of understanding regarding cultural connotations and children's cognitive patterns. Through specific cases, this paper reveals the dialectical relationship between content quality and technological application in the process of technology-empowered cultural dissemination, aiming to provide practical insights for innovative ICH education in the digital era.
