A Comparative Study of Narrative Perspectives in Two Versions of "The Great Gatsby"
Abstract
and transformation of narrative perspectives in the novel have achieved a unique narrative approach in terms of plot advancement and charac
ter portrayal. This article, based on the narrative perspective of Western classic narratology theory, analyzes the original work of "The Great
Gatsby", revealing Fitzgerald's techniques and methods of using narrative perspectives in the work, and comparing Wu Ningkun's translation
and Li Jihong's translation, analyzing the translator's grasp of the narrative perspective in the original work and the degree of reproduction of
different narrative perspectives in the original work.
