Research on the Symbol System of the Panhuang Dance of Miao Nationality in Hainan

Abstract

The Hainan Miao Panhuang Dance is a core carrier of the ethnic group's folk culture. Its ritual movement symbols bear deep reli
gious beliefs, collective memory, and aesthetic connotations. Current systematic research on this symbolic system is relatively insufficient.
This paper organizes the classification and functions of the ritual movement symbols in Panhuang Dance, explains their cultural dimen
sions from religious, ethnic, and aesthetic perspectives, explores the transmission pathways of the symbolic system, reveals the core value
of movement symbols in the inheritance of Miao culture, and provides support for the preservation and living continuation of traditional
ethnic culture.
