Exploration on the Value of 24 Solar Terms in Intangible Cultural Heritage Therapy

Abstract


In the post-pandemic era, public demand for healing has surged significantly. Art therapy, with its distinct cultural, experiential,
communal, and sustainable characteristics, continues to attract widespread attention. The Twenty-Four Solar Terms occupy a unique posi
tion within intangible cultural heritage due to their philosophical foundation of "harmony between heaven and humanity, " diverse forms of
intangible cultural heritage, and their psychological empowering mechanisms. Integrating intangible cultural heritage with art therapy not
only represents an innovative approach to heritage preservation but also provides rich vehicles for art therapy, holding significant implications
for revitalizing intangible cultural heritage, psychological counseling, and social integration. This study elucidates the theoretical basis of the
Twenty-Four Solar Terms and art therapy within intangible cultural heritage, highlights their feasibility in therapeutic applications, and out
lines specific implementation pathwaysincluding tiered and categorized content development, innovative "traditional + modern" therapeutic
approachesand proposes collaborative promotion strategies with corresponding safeguard measures. The aim is to fill the research gap in the
intersection of solar terms and intangible cultural heritage therapy, offer solutions for preserving solar term-related heritage and enabling low
cost public healing, and align with the "Healthy China" strategy.
